Eubenangee Wetlands


    • turn off the Bruce Highway at Mirriwinni onto Bramston Beach Road – travel about 9km to signed posted turnoff then approx 2kmto start of the walk
    • most important wetland areas between Cooktown and Ingham
    • contains a number of rare plant species
    • important role in conservation of wildlife especially birds
    • one of the best bird watching spots also spot butterflies, turtles and crocodiles. Bring binoculars
    • outstanding view of Mt Bartle Frere
    • no facilities and no camping

      WARNING CROCODILE SIGNS – Visits not recommended during flooding as crocodiles move into flooded track areas like the tracks.
